‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ Trailer Releases Tomorrow, ‘Hamza’ Had Indian Wife, Who Avenged His Death?

Aditya Dhar’s movie, Dhurandhar, has left everyone baffled. The movie, which featured Ranveer Singh in the lead role and five other famous actors, will be released again with Part 2 on March 19, 2026. Dhurandhar Part 2 has been named as Dhurandhar: The Revenge, and people have been waiting with bated breath for the trailer to hit the screens. The teaser was dropped earlier, but fans were left disappointed as it only showed Part 1’s post-credit scene. Even so, the excitement is running high, and people are waiting for March 19, 2026, so that they can finally connect those dots from Part 1.

Dhurandhar 2: Did Hamza Ali Mazari have a wife in India, who avenged his death?

Amid the excitement, it was claimed that Dhurandhar could be a part of Aditya Dhar’s spy thriller series, with a connection to URI: The Surgical Strike. Dhurandhar shows ‘Hamza Ali Mazari’, who was originally a prisoner and was given a shot at redemption through a covert assignment as a spy in Pakistan. ‘Hamaza’s real name was shown in the movie as ‘Jaskirat Singh Rangi’. Speculations were rife that the movie is based on real events, and later it was disclosed that it’s not a biopic but a fictionalised spy thriller, influenced by real events.

Jaskirat Singh Rangi was a covert agent from the Punjab Regiment who had a backstory of resentment. In Part 1 of the movie, we have seen how ‘Hamza’ has been travelling through his past memories in his head. Well, given that, people thought there could be possibilities of the movie being connected to URI: The Surgical Strike, as there’s a mention of Jaskirat Singh Rangi’s name there. In URI,  the flight Lieutenant ‘Seerat Kaur’, played by Kirti Kulhari, took ‘Jaskirat Singh’s name, and it was revealed that her husband, ‘Jaskirat’, was in the Punjab regiment and lost his life during the Naushera Sector ambush. So, it’s clear that Jaskirat was married to Seerat, and she was the one to avenge her husband’s death, as per the data.

Since Jaskirat is said to be ‘Hamza’, there is a chance that he had a wife in India, and that’s pretty much visible. However, in Part 1, Hamza got married to ‘Yalina’ (Sara Arjun). There have been wonderings if ‘Yalina’ could find out about ‘Hamza’s true identity and if he would have to take her out of the picture. Be it anything, one thing needs to be noted: the movie is fictionalised, as per CFBC. Specualtions were rife that ‘Hamza’ would be killed at the end of Part 2, which people assumed with the URI connection, where ‘Seerat’ revealed that ‘Jaskirat’ passed away. Well, people will have to wait for a few more days to see how the story unfold.

Single mention of ‘Jaskirat Singh Rangi’ in URI vs the loopholes in connection with it to Dhurandhar

‘Jaskirat Singh Rangi’ has been mentioned in URI, and people thought that the movie was connected to Dhurandhar. The excitement was hightened so much that the loopholes were missed. To mention, there is an identity mismatch. In URI, Jaskirat is a military officer, a fallen captain, while in Dhurandhar, Jaskirat is a condemned, trained convict, who has been recruited for an undercover mission.

Apart from that, in Dhurandhar, Rakesh Bedi appears to be a politician, while in URI, he is a senior ISI officer. So, there are some loopholes that seem to have held two movies far from having any sort of connection. However, nothing can be confirmed before the movie is released, as it’s possible only then that the mysteries can be solved.
