YouTuber and Bigg Boss 17 fame Anurag Dobhal left fans shocked after he accused his family of mentally harassing and torturing him. Responding to the allegations, his brother Kalam Ink said the claims were one-sided and alleged that Anurag was doing it for views and social media attention.
Kalam reacted to the accusations on his Instagram story and wrote, “I am a man of my words. All the proofs have been given in my broadcast channel. Also chill maro sab (just chill), it’s his daily thing jo wo karta hai (what he does) for views. One side story post kardi bhai, par sach nahi bataya (He posted a one-sided story but did not tell the truth) (sic).”
He added, “Also, my message to all my fans, in sab me mat pado (Don’t get into all this). He loves traction on Instagram. He filed a fake case on us, mom, dad and jab ye wo case haar gaya legally, toh he posted this s*** a** video kyunki Ritika ne bhi isko chod diya cause of his doing (When he lost the case legally, then he made this video because even Ritika left him after that point) (sic).”
In another Instagram story, Kalam shared his side of the story. He attached the link of his YouTube video and wrote, “I don’t want to milk this controversy, but I don’t want to share something honestly. Let’s not be so quick to judge or react. I’ll admit I also made a mistake—I sent a WhatsApp message to Anurag out of concern for his well-being. As human beings, when someone talks about taking their life, our first instinct should be to calm them down and offer support. That’s exactly what I offered to do (sic).”
For the unversed, in his video, Anurag revealed that he is quitting YouTube and said it would be his last one. He broke down in tears while speaking about his ordeal. Dobhal discussed the psychological toll he claimed to have suffered because of his family.
He said that the family conflict stemmed from their rejection of his marriage to his long-time girlfriend, Ritika, and expressed his intention to expose those responsible for his mistreatment.
Dobhal even described facing significant challenges throughout his life, including being diagnosed with a brain tumour at 14 and managing academic pressures. He explained that his relationship with Ritika began through social media and eventually led to a marriage not accepted by his family. He claimed he faced mental harassment and torture.
In the video, Dobhal revealed that as a result of these circumstances, he attempted suicide.
