Holi celebrations at a residential complex in Greater Noida took an unexpected and violent turn after a clash broke out between security guards and residents, leading to multiple arrests. A video of the altercation, which quickly went viral on social media, shows chaos unfolding as guards and residents engage in a heated scuffle.
The incident occurred on Wednesday at the Shri Radha Sky Garden Society.
According to residents, families had gathered in an open area of the society to celebrate Holi with colours, music and dancing. The situation allegedly escalated when security guards arrived and attempted to stop the celebrations.
Residents claimed the guards objected to the dancing and festivities, triggering an argument that soon spiralled out of control.
Witnesses said the verbal exchange intensified within minutes. During the confrontation, three to four security guards allegedly got into a physical altercation with a resident and were seen wielding sticks.
One of the residents recorded the clash on a mobile phone, and the footage soon began circulating widely online, drawing sharp reactions and raising questions about security conduct within the housing complex.
Police said the dispute involved two groups and confirmed that action had been taken against both sides. Officials said that five individuals from each party — a total of 10 people — have been arrested, and legal proceedings are underway.
