A famous Indian-origin YouTuber, Nancy Grewal, who was living in Canada, was kil*ed on March 3, 2026. She was 45 years old, living in Windsor with her pet dog, Bazvveer. She was known for her strong social media presence with 1.18 lakh followers on Instagram. She also shared her life on YouTube.
What happened with Nancy Grewal?
As per the police report, it was around 9:30 p.m. on March 3, 2026, when emergency services got a report of a stab*ing in the 2400 block of Todd Lane. As per the eyewitnesses, a woman was suffering from stab wounds. Members of the Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services rushed the woman to the hospital, but they couldn’t save her, and she succumbed to her injuries.
According to further reports, on March 4, 2026, police officers cordoned off two homes between Canada Street and Bishop Street on Todd Lande and placed yellow tape around the wooded area a kilometre away. On March 5, 2026, Nancy Grewal’s sister took to her Instagram handle and shared a heart-wrenching note for her. She posted a photo of Nancy in a white ensemble.
Atop the photo, it was written, “Rest in peace, Nancy Grewal, 19 January 1981- 3 March 2026. My sister, my strength, my forever memory, until we meet again.” Along with it, Nancy’s sister penned a note for her late sister about how she lost her. She added that her sister will always live in her heart. She wrote:
“With a very heavy heart I share that my beloved sister Nancy Grewal has passed away on 3 March 2026. I lost my sister, my strength, my forever friend. Rest in peace, my sister. You will always live in our hearts.”
The police confirmed that the victim was Nancy Grewal and extended sympathies to her family in these testing times. As per the authorities, it is the only incident, and there is no threat to the wider community. Detectives further urged people to come forward with relevant information on the matter, and are also requesting surveillance footage from nearby homes, which could help provide details about the events.
