‘F1’ Actress Callie Cooke Lands Female Lead In Keanu Reeves Sci-Fi Time Loop Action Movie (Exclusive)

Callie Cooke, who played the struggling pit stop tire gunner in Brad Pitt’s racing movie F1, has landed the female lead opposite Keanu Reeves in Warner Bros.’ untitled action movie being directed by Tim Miller.

Nicholas Duvernay, Steven Waddington, Abraham Popoola, Bobby Holland Hanton and Anastasia Safonov have also joined the call sheet for the feature that began production this week.

The water-centric feature, which was titled Shiver when Warners picked it up last fall and is now simply being referred to as the untitled Tim Miller/Keanu Reeves film, is shooting in the Dominican Republic and using massive water tanks for the sea-set sequences before moving to the U.K.

Ian Shorr wrote the script for Shiver, which has been described as having shades of Edge of Tomorrow, the Tom Cruise sci-fi movie about a soldier trapped in a time loop during an alien invasion, and The Shallows, the Blake Lively shark survival movie.

The story sees a smuggler (Reeves) trapped in a time loop after a deadly double-cross while on a job in the Caribbean Sea, resulting in him surrounded by bodies, hostile mercenaries and thirsty sharks alike.

Cooke is the movie’s female lead, a scientist. The other actors are playing characters ranging from shipmates to mercenaries.

Matthew Vaughn, Aaron Ryder, Andrew Swett and John Zaozirny are producing. Scott Lumpkin is exec producing.

Warners has set an Aug. 13, 2027, release date.
