Canada cannot “categorically rule out participation” in the ongoing war involving the US and Israel against Iran, Prime Minister Mark Carney said on Thursday, as the conflict entered its sixth day. His remarks came hours after Carney said he supported the strikes on Iran “with some regret,” and the conflict was “inconsistent with international law.”
“One can never categorically rule out participation,” he said alongside his Australian counterpart, Anthony Albanese, in Canberra. He also said that his country will “stand by our allies.”
