“Not everyone has to love cats, but it’s always a bit off-putting when someone enthusiastically offers up their hatred of any animal and especially when they seem offended that they’ve been asked, like being mistaken for a potential cat person is an insult,” someone suggested, while other users called Jessie’s comments “disappointing” and “gross.”
One more person wrote, “Side eye to the maximum degree. I don’t trust people who don’t like cats. Especially when they have to loudly declare their hatred of them. And making me get rid of my beloved pets just because you have some sort of weird, irrational dislike of them would be an absolute dealbreaker for me personally.”
