The ongoing conflict has led to widespread travel disruptions, including flight cancellations that have left several passengers stranded, particularly in Dubai. Marking the festival, Chopra reflected on the current global climate and urged resilience and positivity during what she described as a challenging time.
Priyanka posted an image of Holika Dahan celebrations on her Instagram story and wrote: “There’s a lot unfolding around the world. It’s hard. It’s heavy. But light has a way of showing us the way. Here’s to the triumph of good over evil. #HolikaDahan (sic).”
Chopra’s message was seen as a gesture of solidarity with those facing challenges resulting from the crisis.
The Middle East has seen heightened security alerts in several Gulf nations, including Qatar, Iraq, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia. These measures follow reported retaliatory strikes by Iran targeting locations across Israel and US military bases. The security concerns have affected travel plans and left a number of people, especially Indian nationals, unable to return home as scheduled.
Among those impacted are Indian actors such as Vishnu Manchu, Nargis Fakhri, Sonal Chauhan, Esha Gupta, and Ammy Virk’s family. They are currently staying in Dubai, waiting for updates on safe passage back to India as authorities monitor the situation.
Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra is also set to return to Indian cinema with SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi, featuring Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles. The film, currently under production, is anticipated for theatrical release in April 2027. She was last seen in the Prime Video film, The Bluff.
