Nordstrom Highlights Puma’s H-Street Sneaker Range in Latest ‘Make Room for Shoes’ Campaign

Nordstrom just teamed up with Puma for the latest edition of its “Make Room for Shoes” program, and the pair is leaning into the ballet sneaker trend.

The department store, which is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year, joined forces with the athletic brand for a month-long event that gives Nordstrom customers access to a limited-edition capsule collection of footwear.

The exclusive collection features the brand’s H-Street sneaker silhouette for men, women and kids. As part of the partnership, Nordstrom will also have the exclusive North American lead on the H‑Street Ballet, with additional retailers launching later this season.

Inspired by Puma’s 2000s running spikes, the H-Street OG introduced a lightweight, track-driven design that became a cult favorite for its minimalism and speed-inspired aesthetic. Now, the new H-Street Ballet evolves that DNA, transforming the silhouette into a modern, ballet influenced interpretation with a sleeker profile.

Paying homage to the original styles’ mesh construction and low-profile stance, the Ballet reimagines H-Street for a new generation of style driven consumers. The collection is now available for men, women and kids with prices ranging from $55 to $85.

Tacey Powers, executive vice president and general merchandise manager for shoes at Nordstrom, told FN that Puma’s “strong design legacy and continued relevance” across fashion and footwear make the brand a “natural partner” for Make Room for Shoes.

“We’re excited to bring the iconic H Street to our customers and introduce the H Street Ballet, a modern update to a classic style that aligns with the sensibility of the fashion driven Nordstrom customer who loves to discover something new when they shop with us,” Powers said.

Alexa Andersen, senior vice president of merchandising at Puma North America, added that Nordstrom has long been a “trusted partner” for the brand.

“Through Make Room for Shoes, we’re excited to spotlight the H-Street Ballet as ballet-inspired silhouettes take center stage, offering exclusive, fashion-forward styles for the Nordstrom customer,” Andersen noted.

First announced in February 2024, the “Make Room for Shoes” initiative comes to life through monthly partnerships with some of the industry’s top footwear brands. So far, the retailer has highlighted brands such as Adidas, On, Birkenstock, Sam Edelman, Larroudé, Stuart Weitzman, Dolce Vita, Reformation, Tory Burch, Sperry, Ugg and Vionic.
