    Redemption Fall 2026: Punk Response

The world feels chaotic and one can hardly navigate daily life without stumbling upon a reason to become anxious about the future.

“The world is fueling ‘otherism,’ and diversity is not celebrated – I’m enraged to see it,” Redemption’s cofounder and creative director Gabriele “Bebe” Moratti said over the phone the day after his fall presentation.

In tune with his passion for rock music, he resorted to the punk aesthetic of the ‘70s, glamorized through his sensual lens, to channel his discomfort into a rock ‘n’ roll and glitzy lineup, loud with bodycon volumes and high-shine leather and rich in sequined numbers.

Strong-shouldered leather perfecto vests over ruched minidresses mingled with statement tuxedo suits decked in high-sheen red sequins and silk ruffled shirtdresses with a giant bow nipping the waist.

Nods to the ‘70s came through in the ubiquitous underpinning white shirt with a pointy collar and oversized cuffs, layered under a polka-dot silk blouse and even a black halterneck gown.

Without indulging in direct nods to the icons he has often referenced in the past – from Patti Smith and Billie Holiday to Janis Joplin – Moratti said he tried to capture the emotions underlying their music and triggered by their performances on-stage.
