Tessa Thompson Returns to Jude’s Trendiest Pump for Broadway’s ‘The Fear of 13’ Press Conference

As Broadway’s “The Fear of 13” gears up for previews at the James Earl Jones Theater in New York, Tessa Thompson arrived for the press conference and photo call for the show in a smart outfit paired with a powerful set of Jude pumps.

Thompson is slated to make her highly anticipated Broadway debut in the play opposite Oscar winner Adrien Broadway, and she dressed the part in a stylish red, deep V-neck sweater styled with a white and blue pinstripe shirt underneath. She paired the combo with a long, gray wool skirt that landed right at her ankles.

The skirt’s midi length place the spotlight on the shoes, which were the Jude Fame pumps in black patent leather. The style has become a go-to design for Thompson, and other celebrities, and the “Passing” star wore the same patent leather pair to the Puck’s fall Stories of the Season event in November.

The Jude Fame pumps feature a polished and clean outline, with an elongated, pointed almond toe. The shoes balance atop a curved, dagger heel. The heel, which measures 4.1 inches, are the shoe’s most defining feature and they add a contemporary spin to an otherwise traditional high-heeled pump. The Fame pumps retail for $630, and are available in an array of colors and materials, such as mesh, suede, croc embossed and more.

Thompson, who is styled by Karla Welch, has worn the Fame pump in a variety of colors, including the all-white pair that she wore to various events earlier this year. The Jude Fame heels have become a popular style for celebrities, and are becoming a signature model for the brand. Jurgita Dileviciute and Denitsa Bumbarova, who founded the footwear label in 2024, were honored with the Emerging Talent Award at the 39th annual FN Achievement Awards in December.
