In an exclusive interview with India Today, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Tehran is fully prepared for both war and peace as he prepares for talks in Geneva.
Araghchi said, “We are fully prepared for both options, war, God forbid, and peace. As you know, I’m going to Geneva this afternoon in order to have the third round of our talks with the US team. And we have made some progress last time. We were able to find some sort of understandings. And I think based on those understandings, we can build something in the form of an agreement, a deal. I think a fair, balanced, and equitable deal is achievable.” Araghchi further said, ‘Iran is not developing nuclear weapons’ and dismissed claims from US President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address as ‘fake news’. He stated that Iran has intentionally limited its missile range below 2,000 kilometres and is not developing long-range missiles.
