Bad Bunny‘s recently launched signature sneaker will continue its momentum into March with the release of its third colorway.
The Bad Bunny x Adidas BadBo 1.0 will release last month in its black and white colorway. Debuted by Bad Bunny himself during the press conference for his Super Bowl halftime performance, The shoe uses a grayish-white suede for the majority of the upper, while black appears in the side cutouts, tongue and collar. A pristine white midsole sits above a gum outsole, and blue accents carry over from previous editions for most of the branding, the uppermost eyestay and lace tips. A star logo on the heel, which debuted on the Bad Bo 1.0’s second release, appears in black.
Adidas surprise released the BadBo 1.0 in a brown and white colorway on the day following Bad Bunny’s three-award night at the Grammys. That version was limited to just 1,994 pairs to commemorate his year of birth and was followed up by an all-white colorway worn by the Puerto Rican artist at the Super Bowl and going on sale the next day in much greater quantities.
Many of the dancers in Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance were also wearing Adidas sneakers, including Bad Bunny’s Ballerina, helping drive an estimated $1.6 million worth of media exposure.
The BadBo 1.0 comes after Bad Bunny and Adidas had been collaborating on existing models since 2021. Soon after its release, Adidas announced it had signed another Spanish-speaking musician in Peso Pluma of Mexico.
The Bad Bunny x Adidas BadBo 1.0 in black and white will release March 28, likely through Adidas’ Confirmed app and select third-party retailers. Pricing is set at $160.
