    Hyderabad Police solves jewellery theft in 24 hours, recovers 10 gold biscuits


    Less than 24 hours after receiving a complaint about the theft of gold biscuits from a jewellery showroom in Hyderabad, police arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with the case.

    All 10 stolen gold biscuits, valued at around Rs 1.65 crore, were allegedly recovered from the accused.

    The accused has been identified as Karampudi Gopalakrishna. Police registered a case of servant theft under Section 306 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) before making the arrest.

    According to officials, the theft occurred at the Panjagutta branch of Joyalukkas. The FIR was registered based on a complaint lodged on February 15.

    Acting in a swift manner, special teams were formed to investigate the case. Officers analysed CCTV footage, conducted technical analysis and worked on intelligence inputs to trace the suspect.

    Police also seized a smartphone and a motorbike allegedly used in committing the offence.

    Senior officials commended the investigating team for detecting the case quickly and recovering the stolen property.
