In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Mrunal Thakur was asked whether she faces any marriage pressure from her family. In reply, she said that she does hear from her parents to settle down, but they also understand that being an actor is not easy. She explained how an actress needs to stay focused. She added that in this process, often eating and sleeping get compromised. She was quoted as saying:
“They say settle ho jao. They do understand it’s not easy being an actor, balancing South films and Hindi cinema. My friends who are married and have kids say we can’t imagine what you are doing. And I tell them I can’t imagine what you are doing. Life is tough. It’s not easy being an actor. It’s like being a sanyaasi because you have to be so focused, give up on food, sleep, and so much.”
Mrunal Thakur reacts to marriage rumours with Dhanush
In the same interview, Mrunal reacted to the viral rumour surrounding her marriage to Dhanush. The Hi Nanna actress shared that she didn’t have a PR team. However, the wedding rumours involving her and Dhanush brought her so much publicity. She mentioned that she is a very open person and whenever something serious happens, she will make it public. She was quoted as saying:
“Woh to shaadi ho rahi hai according to them. Up until now, I didn’t have a PR team. I have realised that even if I spend Rs. 3 crore, Rs. 6 crore, Rs. 10 crore, itni publicity mujhe kabhi nahi milegi. So, a big thank you to everybody who has been spreading fake rumours. I don’t want to involve any other actor in this, but I do want to say that I am a very open person. If there is anything in my life, I will put it out. I don’t get annoyed at all. I laugh it out. If I spend my energies on those rumours, I will not be able to focus on my career.”

Recently, Mrunal sat for an interview with Zoom along with her co-star, Siddhant Chaturvedi. They talked about their upcoming film, Do Deewane Seher Mein and also shared their take on love and relationships. For the unversed, the romantic film, starring Mrunal Thakur and Siddhant Chaturvedi in lead roles, is set to release in theatres on February 20, 2026. During the interview, the duo was given two options to choose between: keep their relationship a secret or declare their love to the world. In response, Siddhant said that he wants to keep it a secret and protect his relationship from others. Mrunal also shared her take on the following. She shared that currently she is in transit, and when she finds love, just like Siddhant, she too wants to protect it. She was quoted as saying:
“I am in transit right now. Once I reach there, as Sid said, I will find out ways to protect it. Jo cheez hai hi nahin uske baare mein kya batau. How I can talk about if I’m not in a relationship? I’m on the verge of finding love.”
