IndiGo flight from Georgia was last non-Iran jet in air as Tehran shut airspace

An IndiGo flight from Tbilisi, Georgia to Delhi was reportedly the last non-Iranian plane in the air before Tehran suddenly closed its airspace on Thursday amid the spiralling unrest. The move impacted several international flights.

Iran briefly shut its airspace early Thursday, issuing a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) that halted most flights except a limited number of approved international ones. Flight-tracking data showed skies over Iran and Iraq rapidly emptying ahead of the order.

The closure lasted more than two hours.
