It’s only been a few weeks since Nike released a premium leather version of its Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble sneaker in black, and it looks like the brand will soon revisit the concept with a new colorway.
Product images of a previously unseen Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble Leather have surfaced in Baroque Brown/Coconut Milk. The build of the just-surfaced style features the same smooth premium leather material seen on December’s all-black release, including a perforated top layer and leather lace loops. But rather than the tonal treatment seen on the triple black iteration, this Baroque Brown pair features contrasting Coconut Milk shoelaces with a matching midsole.
Curiously, the initial product images of the Baroque Brown look are styled with a propped-up tongue and irregular lacing, but the shoe doesn’t appear to feature any major differences from the build of the black look.
December’s black leather Air Max 95 OG release was the first Big Bubble version of the sneaker to feature a premium all-leather build. Air Max connoisseurs have compared the releases to a 2001 Italian-made Lux release which was revisited by streetwear brand Supreme on a 2019 collaboration. While the current reissues aren’t made in Italy and don’t feature the same level of Lux leather, they do use a similar full-grain construction.
The Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble will soon be reissued in its original Neon colorway following a highly limited-edition launch in 2025. Other recent releases of note include the rerelease of the women’s Grape makeup, a Valentine’s Day pair and a still-available Sapphire style.
An exact release date for this new Nike Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble Leather in Baroque Brown/Coconut Milk has not been confirmed, but it’s already arriving at some overseas retailers, which means a stateside launch shouldn’t be too far off. The style code for this pair is IM0696-200 and it’s expected to have availability from Nike’s Snkrs app and select Nike Sportswear retailers for a retail price of $210.
