Tesla sets foot in Bengaluru with first pop-up experience from January 15

Tesla is expanding its presence in India with its first-ever pop-up experience in Bengaluru, scheduled to run from January 15 to 31, 2026. The temporary showcase will be set up at the ACKO Drive Service Centre in Kudlu Gate, giving Bengalureans their first close look at the brandтАЩs electric vehicles in the city.

The event will feature four units of the Tesla Model Y, the companyтАЩs globally best-selling vehicle in both 2023 and 2024. Visitors will be able to participate in guided walkarounds, learn about the vehicleтАЩs engineering and design approach, and understand TeslaтАЩs technology stack including battery systems, performance characteristics, software features and active safety systems.

Bengaluru, being a major technology and innovation hub, has long been a high-interest market for EV adoption, making it a strategic choice for TeslaтАЩs next phase of outreach. The company says the pop-up aims to boost awareness around electric mobility and make Tesla products more accessible to potential buyers.

Alongside product demonstrations, Tesla will also offer test drives between 10am and 9pm, with booking slots available through the Tesla India website. The initiative is part of the brandтАЩs broader push to accelerate the transition to sustainable mobility in India by blending hands-on education with real-world driving experiences.

The Model Y on display will highlight key performance capabilities that have defined its global success. Equipped with TeslaтАЩs Supercharging technology, the vehicle can add up to 267km of driving range in just 15 minutes, significantly reducing charging anxiety for long-distance travel. Tesla also offers home-charging support for customers in India, enhancing its pitch for everyday convenience and ease of ownership.

The Model Y lineup for India includes two variants:

Trim Range (WLTP) 0тАУ100kmph Top Speed Price (ex-showroom)
    Rear-Wheel Drive 500km 5.9 seconds 201kmph Rs 59,89,000
    Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive 661km 5.6 seconds 201kmph Rs 67,89,000

Buyers will need to pay an order deposit of Rs 22,220 and an admin & service fee of Rs 50,000. Financing is available through banks with indicative interest rates between 8.7% and 11%, depending on individual eligibility.

Tesla already operates experience centres in Gurugram, Mumbai and Delhi, and the new Bengaluru pop-up marks the companyтАЩs latest step toward establishing a broader footprint in India.
