Kate Hudson channeled the 2000s with 1970s sparkle in her Giorgio Armani Privé gown at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night in Beverly Hills.
The actress is nominated for Best Actor by a Female in a Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy for her role opposite Hugh Jackman in “Song Sung Blue,” starring in the film as part of a married Neil Diamond tribute act on the performance circuit in the 1970s. Hudson’s Golden Globes look channeled the glitz and glamour of the ’70s, with inspiration from the 2000s to boot.

The Oscar-nominated “Almost Famous” star’s look hailed from the spring 2007 collection and was given a 2026 update for the Golden Globes. Crafted with a liquidy silver fabric, the gown featured a formfitting silhouette with a halter neckline and sleeveless execution. Along the silver fabric, strings of shimmering jewels cascaded down the frame of the gown, with a bias cut giving way to the flowing skirt.

The actress and singer has channeled a modern retro glamour throughout her “Song Sung Blue” press run. For the New York premiere, she opted for a Valentino gown, and at the Berlin stop, she went bold in a sheer, electric blue custom Vera Wang dress. In London, she continued to toe the line of method dressing in a floral-embroidered number.

At last year’s ceremony, Hudson, who acted as a presenter for the evening, opted for a strapless Carolina Herrera ballgown gown from label’s pre-fall 2025 collection with a jeweled statement necklace. In previous years, she has favored sheer silhouettes for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association event, including a sheer black Valentino gown in 2018 and a plunging white number courtesy of Versace back in 2015.
