Jenna Ortega wore a Dilara Findikoglu gown at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night. She attended as a nominee for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series — Musical or Comedy for “Wednesday” Season Two, following her first nomination in the same category for the show’s debut season in 2023.

Ortega’s Gothic gown, plucked straight from the spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection, featured a satin turtleneck, fringe shoulder pads and large cutouts that reached from her armpits to her hips. The black fringe dangled down Ortega’s arms, complementing the beaded and ruffled detailing along the front of the garment. The formfitting skirt pooled at her feet, concealing her shoes.

The look was likely styled by longtime collaborator Enrique Melendez, who began working with Ortega as a teenager during her Disney Channel “Stuck in the Middle” years back in 2016 and has since been behind the method dressing tactics she’s employed for both seasons of the “Wednesday” rollout and for “Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice” back in 2024. WWD has reached out to Melendez to confirm he styled Ortega’s Sunday night fashion.

Her last Golden Globes appearance leaned soft-Goth and Grecian: in 2023, she wore a blush-hued Gucci gown with cutout detailing and a long train, accessorizing with Tiffany & Co. jewelry and metallic Jimmy Choo Max platform sandals.

In the lead-up to this year’s ceremony, the “Wednesday” Season Two rollout had Ortega doubling down on method dressing, much like she did for the series’ first season. Last July, Ortega wore Ashi Studio fall 2025 couture to the London premiere. Days later, she followed in Paris in Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood fall 2025 with the label’s Elevated Ghillie platforms, then headed to Seoul in Simone Rocha spring 2025 from Rocha’s collaboration with Irish artist Genieve Figgis. Later in August, she landed in Sydney in Fendi fall 2025 with a shearling coat and spiked Christian Louboutin boots. In November, she shifted back into dark tailoring in Ann Demeulemeester’s fall 2025 collection for a Netflix FYC event in Los Angeles.

Her affinity for grunge, avant-garde designs was certainly apparent on the Golden Globes red carpet in the Dilara Findikoglu design. She did, however, juxtapose her angsty aesthetic (and trendy bleached brows) with touches of Old Hollywood glamour. Ortega accessorized with dainty diamond earrings and stacks of silver rings.
