Exclusive | ‘Not for me’: Why ‘Weapons’ star Amy Madigan, 75, is saying no to plastic surgery

Amy Madigan has never succumbed to outside pressure for any nips or tucks.

“I don’t listen to any of that,” the “Weapons” actress, 75, told Page Six exclusively at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards earlier this week.

“People are very entitled to have an opinion, but that’s just not me. I don’t have any problem with anybody doing what they want, but not for me.”

The “Field of Dreams” star, who is married to Ed Harris, acknowledged that her husband has consistently worked as he has gotten older, while she has not received the same opportunities. But she isn’t bitter about the age-old disparity.

“I don’t go to that place at all, the “Uncle Buck” star explained. “It’s just part of your life. You have to realize that you’re not working all the time and, you know, it’s more difficult to navigate when you get older. But, no, I don’t do that to myself.”

Madigan added that Harris, also 75, has been her cheerleader for years.

“My husband was always kind of telling me, ‘You just wait. You’re in a perfect spot right now, and something really great is going to come along for you.’”

Madigan admitted that she didn’t really believe him.

“I kind of went, ‘Yeah, sure.’ We’re really good supporters of each other and always have been.”

“Something really great” was a role in “Weapons,” a mystery horror film about 17 children from the same classroom who mysteriously run away on the same night. It also stars Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, and Alden Ehrenreich.

Madigan was on hand to accept the award for best supporting actress in the flick and was introduced by her “Field of Dreams” and “Uncle Buck” co-star Gaby Hoffmann.

Hoffman, 44, charmed the audience when she revealed that she had last seen Madigan when she was six or seven years old.

The “Girls” alum shared that she adored working with Madigan on “Field of Dreams,” and held fond memories of Madigan’s warm, maternal presence — but also vividly remembered being “madly in love” with Ray Liotta, whom she was convinced was going to propose to her.
