Levi’s Nike Air Max 95 collection came last summer, six years after its previous collaboration on the Air Force 1, but the time between projects has significantly shorter. A three-way effort with Nigo on the Air Force 3 quickly came in the fall, and now yet another range of denim sneakers is right around the corner.
The Levi’s x Air Jordan 3 capsule has been revealed with the leak of official images and is expected to release this spring. As is tradition, the denim sneaker will be available in three different colorways: indigo, black and natural denim — all of which are well fit for customization should the owner dare.
All three sneakers aren’t constructed the same, however, as the black pair maintains a predominantly leather upper with overlays in black denim as you’d see on both the interior and exterior of a pair of jeans.
The natural denim variant deviates from the pristine white that’s been employed in prior Levi’s sneakers. Denim forms the base of the shoe, while a pony hair texture comes on the toe tip and heel stabilizer. A pop of red then comes via the mustache, which matches the Levi’s hangtag at midfoot that appears on all three colorways.
Rounding out the trio is indigo, which also uses denim and is the only one in the mix to maintain the elephant print signature to the Air Jordan 3.
In addition to the sneakers, the capsule also boasts apparel, including baggy jean shorts, jeans, hoodies, T-shirts and a varsity jacket.
Spike Lee, who debuted the indigo and black colorways from the collaboration, returns for the campaign.
The Levi’s x Air Jordan 3 collection doesn’t yet have a confirmed release date, but it will come sometime in the spring. Pricing for the sneakers is set at $225.
