Emma Stone waited 2 hours in the ‘freezing cold’ to catch a glimpse of Jen Shah getting sentenced

Emma Stone once braved the “freezing” cold to catch a glimpse of Jen Shah being sentenced for fraud.

During an interview for W Magazine’s Best Performances Issue 2026, the “Cruella” star revealed she is a “superfan” of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” which Shah starred on for three seasons.

“I am really invested,” Stone told the outlet. “When Jen Shah was getting sentenced in New York, my brother [Spencer Stone] and I waited outside for two hours in the freezing cold just for a chance to see her.”

The two-time Academy Award winner, 37, said she lives in New York, so she and her younger brother “walked over there.”

“Her getting arrested on camera was wild,” she shared.

Additionally, Stone also revealed she was a fan of “RHOSLC” star Bronwyn Newport, who rocked a life raft around her waist during a cast boat trip.

“You’ve never seen anyone dress like this in real life. It’s phenomenal,” the actress told W Magazine, adding, “Everything is sort of a costume. I love it.”

In 2022, Shah, 52, pleaded guilty to defrauding thousands of people — including the elderly and vulnerable — via a nationwide telemarketing scheme.

The following January, the former Bravolebrity was sentenced to six and a half years behind bars for her crimes. She reported to prison in February 2023.

After Shah’s sentence was reduced multiple times, the mom of two was released from prison in December 2025 after serving three years at the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas.

TMZ reported that the former reality star still has five years of post-release supervision, which includes drug and alcohol testing, and she will have to participate in an outpatient mental health program and take prescribed medication.

Footage captured by ABC’s “Nightline” showed the emotional moment Shah was reunited with her husband, Sharrieff Shah, and their two sons, Sharrieff Jr., 31, and Omar, 21.

The family of four then flew to Utah, where Jen was greeted with flowers and hugs from her loved ones at the Salt Lake City International Airport.
