US President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez, who is set to take over as interim president following Nicolas Maduro’s capture. In a telephone interview, Donald Trump asserted that Rodriguez could pay a ‘very big price’ if she does not align with US interests. The US President declared, ‘It means we’re in charge,’ confirming that Washington will oversee the country’s transition. India Today’s US Correspondent Rohit Sharma reports that Maduro is currently in US custody after being flown to New York. The US President also indicated that American oil companies would enter Venezuela to repair infrastructure.
