Lainey Wilson Goes Bold in Western-Inspired Ski Suit

Lainey Wilson married Western styling with an aesthetic, winter-inspired aura in a ski suit by Sarah Jameson and Raina Gir for her performance during the “New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash” on Wednesday in Nashville.

The Golden West Boots founder wore a one-piece ski suit look in a shade of burnt sienna, with gold embellishments embroidered on the fabric throughout and tassel elements running down the side seams of the pant legs. A silver statement belt was featured at the waist for added silhouette definition.

The look included further embroidery on the bodice, with a high neckline for an extra touch of seasonal detailing. The sleeves of Wilson’s look featured a complementary shade of soft blue in a voluminous, furry fabric by Pat Dahnke.

As for accessories, Wilson turned to Tomás and Co. — a Navajo and Native handmade and handcrafted sterling silver jewelry brand. The final touch for Wilson’s bold Western look was a black cowgirl hat courtesy of Texas-based brand Charlie Horse Hats.

Wilson’s sartorial language has always emphasized her bold personality, a means of expressing herself. “Before I ever open my mouth, my clothes say something,” the singer previously told WWD in an interview ahead of her 2025 CMA Awards hosting duties.

“I love using fashion to bring the music to life, whether that’s a detail that hints at the chapter I’m in or a look that sets the tone for a moment,” she said.

Wilson has transformed her appreciation for fashion into newfound brand collaborations and her own line of Western boots. The singer’s had a longstanding collaborative relationship with Wrangler, who debuted the fall 2025 collection in partnership with Wilson last August.

Also in 2025, Wilson officially launched her own boot line, Golden West, tapping fashion veteran Michael Petry, who has previously worked with such labels as Frye, Tumi, Ralph Lauren, Prada and Adidas, to serve as creative director.
