The highly anticipated audio launch event for the film Jana Nayagan, starring Thalapathy Vijay, is set to be aired on both television and OTT platform. Following a grand celebration in Malaysia, which was attended by over 85,000 people, the makers have announced that the event will stream on Zee5 and air on Zee Tamil beginning January 4, at 4 pm.
This audio launch has drawn significant attention as it marks a tribute to Vijay’s illustrious film career, coinciding with his final film project. The event has already generated substantial buzz among fans and the wider film community. The televised and online broadcast of the audio launch event will feature special moments dedicated to Vijay, including a farewell speech, commemorating his contributions to cinema before the release of what is expected to be his final film.
Several filmmakers who have collaborated with Vijay, including Nelson Dilipkumar, Atlee, and Lokesh Kanagaraj, were present at the event, highlighting the actor’s strong industry relationships.
The film Jana Nayagan itself is positioned as a political action drama. Alongside Vijay, the cast features Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol in prominent roles, with support from Mamitha Baiju, Priyamani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Narain, among others.
The film’s narrative centers on a former police officer whose confrontation with a previous adversary brings his past to the forefront. According to reports, the story evolves as a young girl’s resilience, which becomes a pivotal element in transforming the protagonist’s journey into one with broader implications.
Online discussions have also suggested similarities to Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari, but director H Vinoth said that the film will be a “100 per cent Thalapathy” film.
In addition to its Tamil release, the film will be available in Telugu as Jana Nayakudu and in Hindi as Jan Neta, expanding its reach to a broader audience. The film is scheduled for release on January 9, 2026, to coincide with Pongal.
