The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced a revision in the schedule for the CA Intermediate Examination, Group II, Paper 5 (Auditing and Ethics).
The exam, originally slated for January 15, 2026 (Thursday), has now been rescheduled to January 19, 2026 (Monday) in view of the Municipal Corporation elections taking place in Maharashtra on the original date. Candidates appearing for this paper are advised to note the change and plan their preparation accordingly.
REVISED EXAM DATE AND TIMINGS
The rescheduled exam will be conducted across India and at overseas centres, at the same exam venues as previously allotted. The details are as follows:

ADMIT CARD INFORMATION
ICAI has clarified that admit cards already issued for the exam remain valid. Candidates do not need to download a fresh admit card for the new exam date. This ensures a smooth transition for all candidates without the hassle of additional documentation.

OTHER EXAM DATES REMAIN UNCHANGED
The change affects only Group II, Paper 5. All other exams in the CA Intermediate January 2026 session will continue as per the previously announced schedule:

Group II exams: January 12 and 17, 2026
This means candidates preparing for other papers do not need to worry about any schedule disruptions.
