Aditya Dhar’s action thriller Dhurandhar has demonstrated sustained momentum at the box office. It collected Rs 17.25 crore on Tuesday based on early trade estimates. This latest figure brings the film’s total nett collection in India to 589.50 crore, highlighting its status as one of the year’s most successful releases.
According to the trade website Sacnilk, the action-thriller has maintained high occupancy rates, with Tuesday’s average at 30.70 per cent. Notably, morning shows saw an 18.59 per cent occupancy, which increased to 35.88 per cent by night, reflecting steady audience interest in major city centres.
Dhurandhar accumulated Rs 207.25 crore in its first week and continued its strong run by earning Rs 253.25 crore in its second week. Despite a dip to 16.5 crore on Monday, its lowest daily collection so far, the film rebounded on Tuesday, signalling ongoing public engagement.
The film also performed robustly over the previous weekend, registering 22.5 crore on Friday, 34.25 crore on Saturday, and 38.5 crore on Sunday.
On the global front, Dhurandhar’s worldwide gross reached Rs 876.5 crore as of Monday. The film surpassed the worldwide collection of Kantara: A Legend Chapter – 1 (852.31 crore), making it the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025 at present.
Interestingly, the film has also beaten a previous record held by Allu Arjun’s hit film Pushpa 2. Dhurandhar earned approximately 111.75 crores net in just 4 days of the third week. Pushpa 2, on the other hand, minted 103 crores net in Hindi in the entire third week of December last year.
The ensemble cast includes Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. The story follows Hamza, an Indian agent tasked with infiltrating a Baloch gang in Lyari, Pakistan.
The film has received endorsements from several prominent industry figures, including Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Shilpa Shetty, Vicky Kaushal, Rajkummar Rao, Zoya Akhtar, Preity Zinta, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and Ram Gopal Varma, who have publicly praised its performances and direction.
The producers have already announced that a sequel is scheduled for release on March 19. Further details regarding ‘Dhurandhar 2’ are yet to be announced.
