    How Rob and Michele Reiner’s kids Jake and Romy will honor their parents after murders



    Rob and Michele’s kids Jake and Romy are planning a memorial service to honor their parents following their gruesome murders.

    “Jake and Romy Reiner remain grateful for the outpouring of love and support they have received,” a statement from the siblings’ spokesperson provided to People on Monday read.

    “They will share information about a memorial service honoring their parents at a later date.”

    Reps for the Reiner family were not immediately available to Page Six for comment.

    Rob, 78, and Michele, 70, were stabbed at their Los Angeles home on Sunday, Dec. 14. Sources told The Post it was Romy who made the horrific discovery of the slain director and allegedly told officers that her brother Nick should be a person of interest.

    Later that evening, Nick was was arrested for the murder of his parents.

    A rep for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office told Page Six that the 32-year-old was taken to Parker Center Jail in Downtown Los Angeles and later transferred to Twin Towers Correctional Facility where he is being held without bail and reportedly on suicide watch.

    Nick was charged with two counts of first-degree murder with a special circumstance of multiple murders on Tuesday, Dec. 16.

    He made his first court appearance on Wednesday, Dec. 17. He was shackled at both hands and feet and wore an anti-suicide smock.

    Following the short hearing, Nick’s lawyer — famed criminal defense attorney Alan Jackson — announced to reporters outside the courthouse that an arraignment has been scheduled for Jan. 7.

    Jake, 34, and Romy, 28, also released a joint statement following the hearing.

    “Words cannot even begin to describe the unimaginable pain we are experiencing every moment of the day. The horrific and devastating loss of our parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, is something that no one should ever experience. They weren’t just our parents; they were our best friends,” they said via a rep.

    “We are grateful for the outpouring of condolences, kindness and support we have received not only from family and friends but people from all walks of life.”

    The pair added, “We now ask for respect and privacy, for speculation to be tempered with compassion and humanity and for our parents to be remembered for the incredible lives they lived and the love they gave.”

    The two made no mention of their brother.
