Hulu released the official trailer for Tell Me Lies Season 3 on December 17, and Lucy is spiraling after reuniting with her toxic ex, Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White). Their destructive relationship reaches new lows in the third season, with Stephen doing whatever he can to get revenge on Lucy for sleeping with Evan (Branden Cook) during her freshman year.
“Why are you doing this?” Lucy cries in the trailer. Stephen replies, “Because I want to hurt you, and I don’t know how else to do it.” The longer Lucy stays connected to Stephen, the more vulnerable she becomes. “I think there’s always further to fall when Stephen is involved. That’s all I’ll say,” Van Patten previously told Swooon about what’s ahead.
