Gwyneth Paltrow, Timothée Chalamet & More From the ‘Marty Supreme’ NYC Premiere

The cast and creative team of “Marty Supreme” and special guests hit the red carpet on Tuesday night for the Golden Globe-nominated film’s New York City premiere, decked out in designs by Valentino Haute Couture, Tom Ford and more.

Film stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Timothée Chalamet led the designer style parade, with Paltrow opting for her signature minimalism and Chalamet going all out in another monochrome orange look. WWD breaks down those looks and more ahead.

Styled by Elizabeth Saltzman, Paltrow wore a look from Valentino Haute Couture — a simple black dress with a thigh-high slit and bow detail at one shoulder. The actress coordinated her look with black Paris Texas pointed toe pumps and accessories provided by Tiffany & Co.

Odessa A’zion took custom dressing to a new level with her codesigned black dress. The gown, crafted with off the shoulder, flimsy straps, a fitted bodice, straight skirt and jeweled embellishments throughout the fabric, was designed by the “Marty Supreme” actress in collaboration with L’Atelier 7474 and support from Los Angeles-based Maison Privée.

“Marty Supreme” star Chalamet continued his monochrome orange styling streak with a look courtesy of Tom Ford by creative director Haider Ackermann. The look paid homage to the orange table tennis balls featured in the Josh Safdie-directed film. Chalamet’s look included bright orange tapered trousers with a coordinated, slightly unbuttoned dress shirt and loose double-breasted blazer and scarf. Chalamet’s look was curated by stylist Taylor McNeill.

Julia Fox went the casual route with her attire. The “Uncut Gems” breakout star wore a pair of faded blue, high-waist jeans with a black turtleneck and jacket with exaggerated shoulders. She added a set of glossy, moss green pointed-toe heels to accentuate the look.

    Apple Martin

Paltrow’s daughter Apple Martin went back into the archives for her Calvin Klein Collection black dress originally worn by her mom to the 1996 premiere of the film “Emma.” The scoop-neck dress featured halter straps and a formfitting silhouette with a cutout at the back.

“Marty Supreme” follows Marty Mauser, played by Chalamet, an ambitious young man who aspires to be the best table tennis player in the world no matter the cost, even if it hurts the people around him. The Josh Safdie-directed film hits theaters Dec. 25.
