Bengaluru police registered cases against two pubs, including Bastian Garden City, co-owned by actor Shilpa Shetty, for allegedly operating beyond permitted hours.
Police also booked Sourberry Pub on Residency Road, a venue earlier linked to an incident involving Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, where an obscene hand gesture had triggered a preliminary enquiry.
The action followed the circulation of videos on social media. A recent viral clip showed two men involved in a scuffle at Bastian pub on December 11. Police took up suo motu cases after the videos indicated that the pubs were functioning beyond permitted hours.
