Sharon Osbourne defends daughter Kelly against weight loss criticism: ‘She can’t eat right now’

Sharon Osbourne fiercely defended her daughter Kelly Osbourne against weight loss criticism following the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne.

“She’s lost her daddy,” the “Talk” alum shared on Wednesday’s episode of “Piers Morgan Uncensored.”

“She can’t eat right now,” the TV personality continued, stating that “unhappy” critics use social media as a “shield” to spew hate.

“How many times have we been wrong about somebody because of our perception?” Sharon, 73, asked Morgan, 60.

“But you and I don’t take the point where we’d spend a second — wasting a second of our lives in writing something about them.”

She added, “Going on their site, taking their time, writing. That’s a lot of effort goes into that.”

In a recent social media video, Kelly, 41, sent a message to haters who have commented on her weight loss.

“To the people who keep thinking they’re being funny and mean by writing comments like, ‘Are you ill,’ or ‘Get off Ozempic,’ or ‘You don’t look right,’” she started her comment.

“My dad just died, and I’m doing the best that I can, and the only thing I have to live for right now is my family. And I choose to share my content with you and share the happy side of my life, not the miserable side of my life.”

Kelly concluded her message by telling the critics to “f–k off.”

Additionally, the “Fashion Police” alum took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday to share that critics sending her hateful messages are likely insecure about themselves.

“All you’ve achieved is being a bully,” she said. “It’s sick. You’re mentally ill.”

“For example, you say that I look ill,” Kelly continued. “Well, I am ill right now. My life is completely flipped upside down. I don’t understand why people expect me to bounce back and look like everything is just fine in my life when it’s not.”

The “Osbournes” alum also stated that it wasn’t fair for her to be compared to herself as a teenager because facial structures change with age.

Ozzy Osbourne died in July at the age of 76.
