Kerry Washington had two major boot moments this week. The actress is in New York to promote her upcoming film “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery,” which arrives on Netflix on Friday. So far, the “Scandal” star has slid on tall boots to shield herself from cold weather, reaching for one of Fendi‘s trendiest boot designs for one of her looks.

Washington joined the rest of her castmates for the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations: “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery” at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Robin Williams Center on Tuesday. The actress was outfitted in a full Fendi look, which included a gray wool tweed jacket and matching tweed midi skirt.
She paired the look with Fendi Arco boots. The Fendi Arco boots are made from a glossy black hagfish leather that creates a paneled, striped effect on the shoe. The boots feature a tubular design and have a tapered toe, with a slightly squared tip. The high heel on the boot features a contoured, sculpted heel with an arched, angled motif, the signature detail of the brand’s Arco line.

The covered heel on Washington’s boots measured 95mm, and is customized with a gold metal plate detail with an engraved Fendi logo that decorates the back of the heel. The boots are also available in olive green and beige brown and retail for $1,980 on the Fendi website.
The Fendi Arco boots were introduced as a part of the fall 2025 collection and were released in September. They have since become a popular design for the fashion house, and fashion-forward stars like Teyana Taylor, Taylor Swift and Solange Knowles have already been spotted wearing the boots.

On Monday, Washington attended a BAFTA screening of the movie wearing another pair of eye-grabbing boots. This time, she reached for Roberto Cavalli’s Fang Heel Boots in black. The tiger Fang heel is one of the most recognizable symbols of the Cavalli aesthetic.
The heel was reimagined in a much taller high heel with gold accents and incorporated into these leather knee-high boots. The boots feature a rounded toe design and the brand’s emblematic Monogram Mirror Snake under the sole and on the strap buckle.

The shoes were made from rich and smooth calfskin leather. She paired the footwear with a mohair and silk sweater and suede skirt from the Brunello Cucinelli fall 2025 womenswear collection, and was styled by Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn.
“Wake Up Dead Man” was written and directed by Rian Johnson. It is a stand-alone sequel to 2022’s “Glass Onion” and the third installment in Johnson’s “Knives Out” film series. In addition to Washington, “Wake Up Dead Man” also stars Daniel Craig as detective Benoit Blanc, as well as Josh O’Connor, Mila Kunis, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Jeremy Renner and more.
