Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu has stated that IndiGo is solely responsible for the ongoing chaos caused by widespread flight cancellations and disruptions across India, following what he described as a surprising event that has left the aviation sector in turmoil. The minister emphasised that full accountability for the crisis rests with the airline.
In an exclusive with India Today, Ram Mohan Naidu said, “We have formed a committee which will inquire into all this so that they can establish where things went wrong and who did it wrong. We are taking strict action on this, so that whoever was responsible for this needs to pay for it”.
Earlier this week, severe disruptions hit IndiGo services and resulted in more than 1,500 flights being cancelled, causing unprecedented inconvenience to the passengers, who were stranded at airports across the country, where operations were thrown into complete disarray.
