As India’s premium carrier IndiGo cancelled several flights for the third day in a row, the Kerala Congress on Friday took a dig at the Centre and a stranded flyer who was seen visibly upset and shouting at the airline staff, saying, “Sister, mereko pad chahiye.”
The flyer seemed frustrated by the unavailability of a sanitary pad for her daughter at the airport and joined a melee of other passengers at the help desk who wanted to know the status of their flight.
Slamming the passenger, the Kerala Congress took to X and wrote that his anger should be directed at the Civil Aviation Ministry rather than the woman at the counter.
“Dear Shouter,” the Kerala Congress wrote, saying, “You do realise the 20–25-year-old girl at the counter, trying her best to address every passenger’s concerns with whatever little information she has, is not responsible for your flight delay, right? Paying 5,000 or 10,000 for a ticket doesn’t mean you are personally funding her salary.”
