For the unversed, the 21-year-old wildlife conservationist, television personality, and actor suffered from a painful rib injury leading into the DWTS Season 34 finale. Witney Carson revealed in a TikTok video that her Robert’s injury forced her to make last-minute changes to their finale routines, especially those involving other dancers, calling it the ‘most stressful part’ of the process. Documenting the rehearsal process setback due to Robert’s wound, Whitney said, “We’re kind of falling apart right now.” She mentioned:

Due to Robert Irwin’s rib injury, he and his pro partner, Whitney Carson, had to stay in the studio until it closed down the night before the finale. They not only rehearsed their routine again and again, but also changed some steps to better suit Robert. Despite the pain, Robert continued to rehearse rigorously until 9 p.m., when the studio closed. Whitney shared that they were literally kicked out of the venue because they didn’t leave on their own. She mentioned that “more will be revealed on Tuesday” during the finale episode, where viewers would get a better idea of what they had been dealing with all week. Whitney stated:

“Last night, we stayed until the studio closed down,” Witney noted. “They had to kick us out at 9 p.m.”
