She’s his No. 1 fan.
James Van Der Beek shared a playful new video of himself playing with a football on Instagram amid his cancer battle — and his wife, Kimberly Van Der Beek, gushed over his skills.
In the clip posted Monday, the “Dawson’s Creek” alum showed himself wearing his jersey from the 1999 film “Varsity Blues” to help raise money for his cancer treatment.
James tossed a football in his hands and spun it on his finger while giving viewers all angles of the white football jersey that featured royal blue letters of the number 4 and his “Varsity Blues” character’s name, Moxon, on the back.
“By popular demand! My favorite jersey. Maybe it was all fun plays we got run in the football sequences for the away games… but I always loved putting on the varsity whites,” he captioned the Instagram post.
“Last year when I released the Blues jersey, I was blown away by the love and support I received from all of you. It has meant more than I can ever express,” James, 48, added.
The “Dancing With the Stars” alum also thanked his fans “for the love, the prayers, the support, and for making this jersey mean something far bigger than a movie.”
“Endlessly grateful for all of you,” he wrote.
James shared that proceeds of the signed jerseys will go to helping him and other families battling cancer.
The actor’s wife, Kimberly, 43, took to the comments section of the post to gush over her beau.
“You’re a wizard. Bouncing back baby!! 😍😍😍,” she wrote.
Last November, James announced that he was diagnosed with Stage 3 colorectal cancer and has been “privately dealing with this diagnosis” and “taking steps to resolve it.”
“There’s reason for optimism, and I’m feeling good,” he told People in a statement.
Though James wanted to keep his health issues private for longer, he wrote on Instagram that he had to come forward with the diagnosis when he “was informed that a tabloid was going to run with the news.”
Earlier this month, the dad of six revealed he was going to auction off personal memorabilia from his hit show “Dawson’s Creek” to help fund his cancer treatments.
Items that will go up for sale next month include the necklace his character, Dawson, gifted Joey (portrayed by Katie Holmes) for prom, which is estimated to be worth between $26,400 and $52,800, and the outfit Dawson wore in the pilot episode.
