Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan created a moment of star power in Abu Dhabi as they attended the exclusive VIP opening of the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi — the latest cultural attraction to join the Saadiyat Cultural District. The two superstars were among the select global personalities invited for a private preview of the museum on Thursday evening, one day before its official public opening on November 22, 2025.

The actors were seen touring the expansive new institution, which is now the largest natural history museum in the Middle East. During their walkthrough, Shah Rukh and Salman experienced the museum’s spectacular lineup of exhibits, including one of its most remarkable highlights — “Stan,” a 67-million-year-old fossilised Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton, considered among the most complete specimens ever found. They also explored the immersive galleries that trace the natural story of the region, showcasing how the Arabian Peninsula once resembled a lush savannah inhabited by now-extinct species, including a giant four-tusked elephant.
The star-studded VIP preview brought together international figures from the worlds of film, television, music, and art. Joining the Khans were Hollywood names such as MythBusters star and special-effects expert Adam Savage, Hellboy actor Ron Perlman, fan-favourite performer Giancarlo Esposito of Breaking Bad and The Mandalorian, global TV host Steve Harvey, and Jurassic World actors David Iacono and Audrina Miranda. Cultural icon Afef Jnifen and producer-entrepreneur Swizz Beatz were also in attendance, adding to the evening’s global glamour.
Inside the museum, guests witnessed several world-first installations, including a full sauropod dinosaur herd displayed in the atrium — five towering long-necked giants positioned together for the first time. Another standout attraction is a dramatic scene featuring two T. rexes locked in battle over a Triceratops carcass, marking the first-ever exhibition of such a dynamic fossil display.
The Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi now joins other leading institutions on Saadiyat Island, such as Louvre Abu Dhabi and the upcoming Zayed National Museum and Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. As the presence of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan grabbed attention globally, the museum’s opening further cements the district as one of the world’s most significant cultural destinations.
