Helen turned 87 on Friday. The veteran actor greeted the paparazzi as she arrived for her birthday celebration. Her close friends and family gathered for a grand party in Mumbai. Helen smiled and folded her hands in a namaste as she stepped out of her car. Salim Khan was also seen at the venue, along with veteran actor Rekha.

Helen looked elegant in a violet churidaar suit as she posed for photographs. She smiled, waved, and thanked the photographers for their birthday wishes before heading inside. Salim Khan arrived shortly after her.
Rekha, one of Helen’s close friends, was also present. She wore a black jumpsuit paired with a blue jacket and her signature black sunglasses. Rekha posed for pictures and even borrowed a camera from one of the photographers to click a photo for them.
Helen was introduced to Bollywood by actor Cuckoo. She received her major break in 1958 with the song ‘Mera Naam Chin Chin Chu’ in Shakti Samanta’s film Howrah Bridge. She became well-known for her dance numbers and vamp roles through the 1950s and 1960s. During this time, she met Salim Khan, and their bond eventually grew into a relationship, though they married much later. For part of this period, Helen was married to Prem Narayan Arora, whom she divorced in 1974.
