In a first-of-its-kind cinematic milestone, Farhan Akhtar starrer 120 Bahadur is set to be screened at the Rezang La War Memorial Auditorium in Chushul village, Ladakh. The special showcase, organised by mobile theatre company PictureTime, will take place on November 22 at an altitude of 16,452 ft — officially marking the highest-altitude film screening ever attempted.

Farhan Akhtar starrer 120 Bahadur makes history: First film ever to screen at Rezang La War Memorial at 16,452 ft
What makes the event even more symbolic is its proximity to the very site where the 1962 Battle of Rezang La unfolded. The premiere follows closely after the 63rd anniversary of the battle on November 18, adding emotional significance for the soldiers stationed in the region as well as the local residents.
Sushil Chaudhary, Founder-CEO of PictureTime, will be present on ground despite harsh –10°C temperatures, reinforcing the team’s commitment to delivering this unprecedented experience. Sharing details of the initiative, he said, “We are going to show the film at Rezang La memorial auditorium in Chushul village, which is next to the mountain pass where the war was fought. We will be hosting 14 shows, which would feature not only soldiers serving in the region but also local villagers. This is going to be the highest altitude screening for any film! We are proud that the story of this incredible bravery will be witnessed by the villagers and soldiers on the big screen. We will show the film for at least two weeks.”
The mountain premiere comes shortly after the announcement that 120 Bahadur will be the first film to release across defence theatres nationwide. Backed by PictureTime and GenSync Brat Media, the film will screen exclusively for the defence community in more than 800 cinema halls across India starting November 21.
Featuring Farhan Akhtar in the lead, the film boasts an ensemble cast including Raashii Khanna, Sparsh Walia, Vivan Bhatena, Dhanveer Singh, Digvijay Pratap, Sahib Verma, Ankit Siwach, Devendra Ahirwar, Ashutosh Shukla, Brijesh Karanwal, Atul Singh, along with senior officers Ajinkya Deo and Eijaz Khan.
Directed by Razneesh “Razy” Ghai and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar (Excel Entertainment), and Amit Chandrra (Trigger Happy Studios), 120 Bahadur is set for its theatrical release on November 21, 2025 — with history already being made even before it hits mainstream cinemas.
