Donald Trump Jr, son of US President Donald Trump, spent Thursday touring Vantara, the massive wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centre in Gujarat’s Jamnagar. According to sources, Trump Jr was in the state on the invitation of the Ambani family and was personally hosted by Reliance Industries director Anant Ambani, the driving force behind Vantara.
Trump Jr took a full tour of the sprawling conservation facility with Anant Ambani and also visited nearby temples, the sources said. His stop in Jamnagar came after a morning visit to the Taj Mahal in Agra, where he admired what he called “one of the world’s great wonders,” echoing earlier praise from other US dignitaries who have visited in recent months.
The visit is part of a wider trip that will take Trump Jr to Udaipur later this week for the destination wedding of an Indian-American couple, a high-profile event drawing guests from across the world.
In April, US Vice President JD Vance visited the Taj Mahal with his family, calling it a “beautiful historic site” and thanking locals for the warm welcome.
