Denise Richards’ estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, claims his expenses have gotten so out of hand amid their contentious divorce that he’s resorted to “begging friends for money to have food to eat.”
The former Quantum 360 founder filed documents on Thursday asking for an emergency hearing in his spousal support case, which was originally scheduled for January 5, 2025.
Phypers alleges in the documents that he’s in danger of being evicted “at any time” from his home as he owes $125,000 for past due rent and $10,090 for past due HOA fees.
“I am in literal danger of being made homeless with no vehicle and no cell phone unless the hearing
can be advanced to an earlier date and orders can be entered allowing me access to the substantial funds that are being controlled by [Richards],” Phypers alleged.
He also tallied his total home bill costs for utilities to equal $3,543 in past due water bill for reconnection; $13,000 past due gas for reconnection; $12,000 for past-due electricity; $1,400 past due waste management; and $1,200 past due special trash removal
In addition to his house payments, Phypers also claims that he owes $17,820 on his pickup truck and $1,960 for storage units.
In the legal docs, he told the judge that his “financial situation gets worse by the day” as he now also faces criminal spousal abuse charges stemming from his Oct. 17 arrest. So, he also claims he now has to pay $150,000 for “legal fees and administrative costs.”
A rep for Phypers did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Phypers was arrested and charged with two felony counts of injuring a spouse and two felony counts of dissuading a witness by force or threat during his appearance in court, as the “Wild Things” actress pushed for a judge to extend her temporary restraining order against Phypers.
After he was able to make his $200,000 bond, the presiding Los Angeles Superior Court judge granted Richards’ request, ordering Phypers to stay at least 100 yards away from Richards and her place of work until Nov. 7, 2030.
In her harrowing testimony, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum alleged that her husband had given her “at least three concussions” during their relationship
Richards was previously granted a temporary restraining order on July 16 after claiming Phypers once gave her a black eye during an argument.
At the time of the temporary restraining order, a source close to Phypers denied Richards’ abuse allegations, claiming Richards gave herself the injury while drinking.
He has since accused the reality star of abusing painkillers and alcohol — which she has denied — and claimed she “bruises easily” in his response to Richards’ accusations.
Phypers originally filed for divorce from Richards in July.
