Family Advice That Stayed With Him
When asked about the one dialogue he still remembers, Abhishek said there are “too many to recall.” But what he does hold close is a teaching from his grandfather, poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan. “He used to always tell me, ‘Mann ka ho toh accha, na ho toh zyada accha,’” Abhishek shared. The line, loosely meaning “If things go your way, good; if not, even better,” is something he considers a guiding principle.
On Grooming and the Actor’s Life
Talking about his grooming routine, Abhishek kept it simple. “There are no rituals,” he said. “As an actor, you have to look the part. Whatever the director decides is the look of the film, you do whatever it takes.”
Watches Marking Life’s Milestones
Abhishek also spoke about the watches that carry emotional significance. “Most of my watches have a very distinct memory,” he explained, pointing to one in particular—“the watch I was wearing when I got married.”
Another cherished piece is an Omega Seamaster with a grey rubber strap, which was on his wrist when his daughter Aaradhya was born. “I’d probably go back to that moment. It was a very special one,” he said.
When asked if there’s a watch he plans to pass down, Abhishek clarified that for him, the watches are more than accessories. “I don’t see them as passing on watches. I see them as passing on memories,” he said.
Upcoming Work
On the professional front, Abhishek was last seen in Kaalidhar Laapata on ZEE5, following his theatrical release Housefull 5. He is reportedly set to play the antagonist in Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film King, which is currently in production.
