Ali Larter Continues Her Over-the-knee Boot Streak in Matte Black Thigh-highs in Los Angeles

Ali Larter added another tall-boot stop to her November run on Monday, arriving in matte black thigh-highs for Elle’s 2025 Women in Hollywood Celebration in Los Angeles.

The pointed-toe boots appear in a matte black, suede-like finish with a likely stiletto heel. The shaft runs smoothly up the leg without visible hardware or panel breaks, keeping the focus on the silhouette’s extreme lengths.

Styled by Jeanann Williams, Larter paired the boots with Teresa Helbig’s spring 2024 sleeveless mini, a cream-and-black harlequin design finished in a lacquered gloss. The dress features a black patent collar and a firm A-line cut that stops well above mid-thigh, leaving the boot’s full upper visible. The contrast between the dress’ reflective surface and the boot’s matte profile sets up the look’s primary texture shift.

The appearance marks Larter’s second tall-boot moment in three days. On Friday in Berlin, she wore black suede over-the-knee boots with Libertine’s hand-embroidered blazer — a slim, stiletto-heeled pair that established her current turn toward over-the-knee silhouettes. She shifted to Studio Amelia’s Bordeaux Rhodes Pump in London on Sunday before returning to a tall profile for the Elle event, forming a short sequence of height-driven choices around “Landman” Season Two’s press run.

Her thigh-highs also intersect with the ongoing tall-boot circuit. Over the weekend, Taylor Momsen wore Versace’s Platform Tall Boots at the Empire State Building, a double-platform knee-high design that has shaped several of her fall appearances. Paris Hilton opted for Gianvito Rossi’s black suede thigh-highs for GQ’s Men of the Year party the previous night in Los Angeles, while Heidi Klum arrived at the Empire State Building at the end of October in Le Silla’s vinyl Eva Thigh-High Boot, distinguished by its pointed toe, stretch finish and slim heel.

For Larter, the Women in Hollywood stop adds another footwear entry to a month defined by premieres and quick turnarounds. She reprises Angela Norris in “Landman” Season Two, which continues its promotional schedule across Europe and the U.S. through November.
