Ariana Grande: B

This Christian Dior fall 2007 gown would fit perfectly in a glamorous period movie. On the red carpet, it reads a little too costumey on Grande. 

Jeremy Strong: C
His commitment to alternative monochromes is remarkable, but this brown distressed denim peak lapel tuxedo suggests it’s time to break up. The orthopedic dad sneaker is going for ugly chic, but misses the chic part. 

Cynthia Erivo: B-

Fringe is about enhancing movement, and in this case, it made this coatdress a head turner on the runway. Unfortunately, the static posing on the red carpet results in some of the magic being lost. 

Jennifer Lawrence: A-

It’s very difficult to reinvent Hollywood glamour. This dress has the silhouette from the golden era yet the modern draping breathes new life into the classic. Also, white was omnipresent throughout the night’s looks, and this was one of the best.  

Chase Infiniti: A-

This is not an easy dress to pull off, but the cool factor of rising fashion girl Infiniti makes this an influential choice. The upside-down layered ballerina dress has all the perfect elements of a fashion-forward power move. 

Emily Blunt: A-

The press tour for “The Devil Wears Prada 2” has yet to officially begin, but if this is a preview of what’s to come we’re in for a treat. This red gown is Blunt at her best. 

Kate Hudson: C+

The 1920s drop-waist silhouette is hard to pull off, and easily reads costumey — especially when adding the ruching on the front and the “Dancing With the Stars” bedazzled cutout sleeves. But this era of hair and makeup looks is perfect on her. 

Teyana Taylor: A

This ultra-fitted column dress is reminiscent of the Angelina Jolie 1999 Golden Globes look — a complete stunner. On Taylor, the style looks even better.
