Taylor Swift’s mom, Andrea Swift, gushed over her future son-in-law in the new trailer for the singer’s docuseries, “The End of an Era.”
“Travis Kelce, he brings a lot of happiness,” Andrea, 67, told the camera during a sit-down interview in the series, per a clip shared on Instagram Thursday.
Immediately after, fans were shown a smiling Taylor wearing a Kansas City Chiefs jersey while rehearsing, followed by a glimpse of a phone conversation between the lovebirds.
“We basically have the same job,” Taylor, 35, told Kelce, 36, over speakerphone, as he responded that he has teammates and so does she.
“You’ve got Coach Reid and I’ve got my mom,” Taylor added as they both burst out laughing.
The trailer also featured Swift supporting Kelce in the distance as she tuned into one of his games, as well as him watching one of her show from the crowd and the two of them sneaking a few kisses while backstage.
During the trailer, Swift also reflects on the “bonding experience” that the shows created for her fans.
“There’s something very special about that,” she said before revealing that she came up with the idea for the Eras Tour two years before it actually kicked off in 2023.
“I wanted to overserve the fans, in terms of the amount of songs they were going to hear and how far I was going to push myself. My main goal is to give the fans something they did not expect,” she added as clips of her singing as a kid flashed across the screen.
She also reflected on how the shows are “the biggest challenges” for her and the “seismic effect in [her] life” they’ve had on her.
“Honestly can’t think of a better way to celebrate my (almost) birthday than to relive the Eras Tour with you! This time we’re going backstage. “The End of an Era”, a 6-episode behind-the-scenes docuseries, streams on @disneyplus beginning Dec 12 🫶,” Swift reflected in the caption of the trailer on Instagram.
Exactly a month ago, Swift announced the news of her upcoming docuseries focused on her record-breaking Eras Tour.
“It was the End of an Era and we knew it,” Swift, 35, captioned her Instagram post about the Disney+ project.
“We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down. And to film the final show in its entirety.”
Aside from featuring several behind-the-scenes moments from the tour, the docuseries featured multiple intimate glimpses at her relationship with Kelce.
In one scene, the “Fate of Ophelia” singer hugged and kissed the Kansas City Chiefs tight end backstage at one of her shows.
Meanwhile, in another cute moment, Kelce can be seen carrying Swift while rehearsing for his Eras Tour stage debut in June 2024.
“The Eras Tour | The Final Show, featuring the entire Tortured Poets Department set, and the first two episodes of The End of an Era, a 6-episode behind-the-scenes docuseries will be yours December 12th on @disneyplus,” the caption of Swift’s post continued.
The initial trailer also featured Sabrina Carpenter and Gracie Abrams, who opened for several of Swift’s shows, as well as her go-to collaborator, Ed Sheeran.
The Eras Tour was a cultural phenomenon that spanned from March 2023 to December 2024.
While she was on tour, Taylor recorded two new albums — “The Tortured Poets Department” and “The Life of a Showgirl” — and re-recorded “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and” and “1989 (Taylor’s Version).”
