I learned how to swim at 30, to dive into the open ocean — and that’s what freedom feels like.”

During the episode, Arsala Qureishi revisits Kubbra’s groundbreaking portrayal of Kukoo in Sacred Games. She praises the actor’s performance, saying, “No one comes to Mumbai thinking, ‘I’ll play a transgender role and get famous.’ You did that and gave people who are transgender a sense of belief — that they can be comfortable in who they are, and the world will still love them. I was very fortunate to be in the right place at the right time and to have the intuition not to say no.”
Reflecting further on her experience working with Kashyap and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, she added, “Imagine working with a recipe that includes Anurag Kashyap and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Can I say that I trust the people I’m working with — as collaborators, as a culture of creativity? Yes. Great.”
