Sarah Jessica Parker opted for understated elegance alongside her fellow 2025 Booker Prize judges during a reception hosted at Clarence House by Queen Camilla in London on Tuesday.
Clad in a black midi dress with a black and white polka dot dress shirt beneath and a pair of black suede boots, the U.K.’s queen consort played host to Parker, Chris Power, Ayobami Adebayo and Kiley Reid, honoring 2025 Booker Prize winner David Szalay.

For her attire, Parker channeled a more mature, downplayed variation on her “Sex and the City” and “And Just Like That…” character Carrie Bradshaw, wearing a black tea-length dress with a bolero featuring intricate embroidery.
The glittering blue gem buttons on Parker’s bolero provided the frame to an embroidered gold appliqué, featuring blue florals and a shade of purple that mirrored the tonal motif of Parker’s necklace. Her aubergine heels also coordinated with the piece, creating a unified look.

The embellishments on Parker’s jacket harkened back to the shimmering pumps the actress wore for the 2025 Booker Prize ceremony in London on Sunday. Parker styled her pair of shimmering pointed-toe pumps with her plum and black trim dress.
Queen Camilla’s recent wardrobe regimen has been more on the subdued and somber side. The queen consort attended the National Service of Remembrance Day on Sunday, wearing a black ensemble, accessorized by her signature four-strand pearl necklace and her Bugle Horn brooch, both of which served as symbolic ways to honor the servicemen and women of the U.K.

The Booker Prize is an annual literary awarded given annually to a single bestselling English-language novel publish in the U.K. or in Ireland within the last year. The 2025 recipient of the Booker Prize was Szalay for his novel “Flesh,” which follows István and his life’s journey as an outsider in Hungary.
