On November 11, 2025, actress Nargis Fakhri took a heartfelt trip down memory lane as Rockstar completed 14 years since its release. To mark the milestone, she shared a touching montage on Instagram featuring behind-the-scenes glimpses with co-star Ranbir Kapoor and moments from the film’s shoot.

Reflecting on the experience, Nargis penned a moving note, writing, “Rockstar wasn’t just a film — it was a journey that changed me & my life completely. Heer was written as a character, but she breathed with my heartbeat. On screen I see pieces of me in her & in life I still carry pieces of her within me. Fourteen years later, I still feel her — in the silence between music and memory, in the spaces where love and pain once met.”
Her emotional tribute struck a chord with fans, who flooded the comments with love and nostalgia. Actress Vaani Kapoor also dropped red-heart emojis in support.
Directed by Imtiaz Ali, Rockstar (2011) remains one of the most iconic films of the decade, known for its passionate storytelling, A.R. Rahman’s unforgettable music, and the raw chemistry between Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri as Janardhan Jakhar and Heer.
Interestingly, Ranbir had once spoken about the emotional aftermath of completing Rockstar. In an old interview with The Bombay Interview Podcast (TBIP), he confessed, “I just was uninspired. I just didn’t have anything in me. I stopped hanging out with my parents. I was empty. It was sad that such a special film was over because I gave so much to it. And I started questioning myself — do I have more to give somewhere else?”
On the work front, Nargis was last seen in Housefull 5 and will next appear in Mastiii 4.
